[member=62762]bump[/member] I'm sure you'll be able to find a CHP45 Protool if you go hunting. I'm surprised we haven't seen the 25 and 45 re-released in green!

oh my gosh, that's a bit of a beast. 45mm drill into concrete or 90mm core drill... i could almost fall down the hole i drill with that one!
is PROTOOL part of festool (or the other way round)?
I can't seem to find any in the uk so far, germany and australia seem to have them. maybe we aren't worthy or just can't be trusted with them.
cool find though, nice one.

A one-handed belt sander like the small Porter Cable would be extremely useful.

But of course festools would be more poweful, have variable speed and much better dust collection.

Impact driver impact driver!!!

I am holding out for one right now.  Yes I know there is a 15 v discontinued one.

A one-handed compact router for carpenters!

Im sure the MFK is a great laminate and banding trimmer but its useless to me. The giant base, the knob, and the complete lack of visibility totally defeat the purpose. On the job I do lots of edge details, rabbeting, free-hand mortises, etc and 90% of it is with my bosch colt. Its great but lacks good dust collection, fine adjustment, and of course "system-ness"!

Beer.

Because if Festool made beer, it would probably be the best most expensive beer in the World...  [thumbs up]

I would gladly allow the CT SYS to be 3" taller if it has a retractable CORD AND HOSE.

From the design it appears I could make a retractable cord and add nothing to the size, this should of been the design from the start.

Again, I would gladly allow the unit to be  3" taller if they could find a way to make the hose retractable, heck maybe even 6" because as it is that space is used with the hose and cord flopping around on top anyhow because I don't have time to  wrap it up neatly. I just let cord and hose sit on top any old way.

Granat sandpaper for the DTS 400 in grits > 400.  Does anyone know if any third parties make such a thing?  Klingspor maybe?

In lieu of a full line of small tools running off the CXS/TXS batteries, how about just a flashlight? Also, a redesigned systainer insert so you can store it with your drill.

Please and thank you.

My idea is simple.  Make a circular saw that is specifically designed to cut dados and would ride on a track.  The saw could be equipped with a 6" Fraud Dial A Dado type blade and would only have to cut up to an inch deep.  The dado track saw would be used to cut perfect dados anywhere and to any length your track will allow.  Having a dial a dado type blade would allow the perfect fit to any thickness material or plywood.  Yes a router can be used to cut dados and I have used that process but a circular blade that scores the veneer with the outer teeth would leave a cleaner cut and would cut faster and could be completed in one pass.  Yes router bits come in undersized plywood thickness but they are never perfect. And yes you can make two passes with a smaller router bit and a jig.  I'm just saying that a track saw equipped with a blade make specifically for cutting dados would be really really cool!
Thoughts?

The HK85 will do your dados with the optional groove cutter.

Peter

Is the HK 85 with dado and optional groove cutter available in the USA?

Belt sander that was available in NA.

I do a lot of tabletops, and would really like the belt sander available here.
