A Coronavirus cure? I know it would be expensive but i’m sure it would do the job exceptionally well!

And if it didn’t, there’s always the 30 day return policy and the excellent FOG community to help out!

Well, I was thinking a Festool Flame Thrower.  I'm sure you would be able to find cheaper flamethrowers that do the job, but a Festool one would be systainer based, so when not suppressing COVID with it, it fits into folks tool storage nicely. Also you ensure social distancing. Probably would end up NAINA  [mad]

See if they can get Hank Scorpion as a spoke person for it.
 
I find the current “fence” difficult to use for any cutting outside of a somewhat limited range.  I also find myself making repeated measurements for multiple identical pieces. Maybe I’m “ doing it wrong” but the existing miter gauge and “fence” doesn’t accommodate nearly the range of cutting as those found on a table saw of similar cost to the TS55 or 75 and MFT and accessories..

expanded cordless line up even further.  that is the reason why i'm a makita guy when it comes to 18v gubbins.....

and flip the handle on the kapex 90 degrees and make it horizontal.  also a cordless version please.

i thought festools were always quite ergonomic (and indeed they usualy are) but the kapex handle is downright blddy uncomfortable and just doesn't feel right.
 
Bringing a cordless Fein grinder and their Supercut over to the Festool stable was an excellent decision.  It may seem out of your market, but consider seeing what you can do with one of their cordless die grinders.  I’d also like to see some woodworking application dust extraction accessories for the grinder.  Put big ol’ warning labels on there if you’re worried about people using it with metal.
 
A vacuum hose accessory for limiting suction on the CT-Sys. Thinking it could be a replacement for the right-angle vacuum end. The collar has a hole and a rotating sleeve regulates the air flow. Usually you see them on the tool end of the hose. I think I've seen a Bosch nozzle. My Fein has a sliding gate on the tool end as well. That, and BT switching for the CT-Sys. Otherwise it's pretty near perfect.

A lot of our wishes have came true!

I am very impressed with the cordless range available from Festool now.
I never thought the world needed cordless sanders, but they are fantastic tools!

I think the Sawstop technology is a game changer and I think Festool and Sawstop are a great combination.
I can't wait to see the new tablesaw in action.

My original wish was for a thicknesser / planer and now that Festool have the Sawstop technology I would hope that the engineers are busy trying to figure out how to incorporate that same brake technology into a planer head.
I wonder if the high RPM and the weight of the planer head are major engineering challenges?
It would be difficult to engineer as the planer head is above whereas the blade on a tablesaw is pulled down and away from the operator with the Sawstop brake.

But if anyone can make this happen, I am sure Festool can!
 
Cordless metal cutting circular saw.  Doesn’t need to be a Fein Slugger, just comparable to the cordless Bosch, Makita and Hilti offerings.  Metabo dropped the ball on the quality of their track compatible metal saw and so there’s an untapped market right there.  Most would like to see it ride a track (metal roofing), I’d like to see it run on a crosscut HK rail.  Definitely two batteries. 

While we’re at it, a generic 36v (2x18) 6 1/2” or 7 1/4”would really be nice to see. 
Makita is doing one that runs on your rails for $300.  I’d pay $400-450 for a Festool iteration.

An anti vibe recip saw would do wonders too.  Go after the Makita single 18v.

I would love to see a cordless reciprocator by Festool.
They already make great recipro blades! Which are amazing for ripping and cross cutting through Aussie hardwoods.
We just want the recipro to go with it!

Of course the most important cordless tool we need ASAP is a coffee maker...

 
I wish Festool would sell their 220v belt sander with the nice sanding frame in the USA. 

The sanding frame sits on little stiff brushes around its perimeter and adjusts up and down in micro amounts.  I used this sander at a friends shop who brought it home in his suitcase from Europe.  He uses it to level veneer pieces of varying thicknesses glued together in a marquetry picture.  Once you get the height dialed in you won't sand through the edges of the veneer!  He had to modify the 50mHz plug with a 60 Hz plug from Home Depot.  According to my calls to Festool USA this sander is not UL rated for the USA.

Why would you need SawStop technology on a planer as your fingers cannot get into the planer unless you decide to jamb them in there and even then at 3/4" I don't know if it would be able plane your fingers.
 
Wish they had 5 meter plugit cords so I did not have to use an extension cord to reach my vac
 
I would like to have the ability to change suction on the vac with the bluetooth controller. For turning the vac on and off it's been great, I've barely touched the main power switch since adding the bluetooth module.
But the other day, I found myself wishing I could turn the suction down a bit without walking over to the vac.

A cool extension of the feature would be the ability for sanders to automatically turn down the suction via bluetooth.
 
A range of cordless tools that utilises the the CXS 10.8v platform. Utterly bewildering to have only a single type of tool for a battery platform.

Festool is not as big as other tool manufacturers. I doubt they even have 1/10th the sales of brands like DeWalt, Makita, Metabo or Milwaukee.

These are two good ideas. Since the batteries of the cordless sanders are unique in the FT system maybe it would be possible for them to transmit a signal that sets the suction level of the extractor to a pre-determined or user set level.

And having the ability to adjust the level using the BT remote would be a big win, even if it was limited to 3 or 4 steps.

I would second a vote for a US model belt sander with sanding frame. I miss my DeWalt DW433 which had a sanding frame that converted the DW433 to a horizontal or vertical benchtop sander in addition to performing well controlling the aggressiveness of the  sander on large flat surfaces.

And even though I have a half dozen routers now, I would like to see a cordless router that used the same 18v battery as the TSC55 and other 18v tools. A unique battery or the battery used on the sander would be a deal killer for me. And if it could use the 15v batteries lie the TSC55 can that would be a bonus as I could put my 15v batteries to use more often.
