Fill in the blank: I wish Festool made a ______!

They just discontinued their half sheet finish sander and the rotary sander.  I’d also stop everything to drop $$$ for a brand new 110v AEG/Holz-Herr belt sander with Festool written on it, but I’m certainly not holding my breath.

Seriously though, slap a Festool battery on the really awesome variable speed Fein die grinder.  If you need a marketing angle, just position it against Foredom or Proxxon and say a bunch of cheesy stuff like “power unmatched” or whatever.

A dual SCA 8 battery charger would seem like a logical addition with the current Festool push for cordless tools and it would be especially helpful with the TSC55 REB.

A big +1 for this item.

Are the BS 75 and BS 105 NAINA in 110V?

Maybe I’m wrong  [jawdrop]    but I think I did a search and couldn’t find those sanders in anything but 230 volt.  [sad]

And unfortunately the 230 volt version is NAINA.

I see my post could be misunderstood in a way that the belt sanders are available in 110V but not for you, but no, only 230V [oops]
You need a sparky to tweak your home Cheese, then a fair amount of $ and it’s away from the other side of the pool.  [wink]

This^.
For the people working at home it might not make much difference but on site it would be really helpful.

A cover plate (Festool 491750) for the HK-55 that improved dust collection, but also incorporated some kind of replaceable outboard splinter guard.

I wonder why they left it open in the first place. Cover it, leave a hole for Allen key.

better sightline to the blade more than likely.  after all its a framing tool, unlike the TS/C that is a finishing tool.

A smaller version of the OF 2020. The ergonomics and dust collection is spot on, but the base is too wide for some applications. Scaling it down to 2/3 of the size would be perfect. With a less powerful motor it could perhaps be battery powered and a light is an absolute necessity. I really like the self centering inserts so the 1010 isn't quite as attractive to me.

Thanks! I see in another he makes a plexiglas cover for the TS. I'll try something this weekend.

This is quite a long thread so this may have been mentioned already, but sure would like to see a cordless vacuum.  I have the CT-Sys which is a nice vac but sure would be much handier being cordless.  May be too late for me though- getting ready to pull the trigger on one of the Milwaukee versions.  Just need to decide which one will work best for me.

Regards,
Gerald

ksc 60/120

it needs to run on 2 batteries, but like the tsc can run on one if needed.

come on.  makita has made a 260mm cordless mitre saw (i have one) so it can't be that hard to do.
