With my current system I'm getting good results with the SW Kem Aqua plus laquer, but I'm looking to step up the final finish just a notch and am wondering what you guys use to do a final rubdown (polish) on these surfaces.  I've used 0000 steel wool in the past on my oil poly, so something similar but synthetic and non shedding.  I also have an RO90 if anything is available for that that might suit my needs.  Thanks!!

Try some polishing compound first. Easy to do if you have a Rotex sander.

If I'm not applying more waterbased finish, I sometimes use 0000 steel wool and paste wax.  My other go-to method is foam-backed Granat sheets, used dry, by hand.

I have used the RO90 for this with Platin 2 discs (500 through 2000 grit), wet, followed by auto polishing compound (I've been meaning to get some Menzerna but have just used Meguiar's) applied with the RO90/foam pad, then buffed out.

Tom (Tool Home) sells platin 2 assortments.

I can't find the Festool foam pad anymore, but you can probably get one from an auto detailing supplier (e.g. Griot's Garage).  Festool also supplies polishing felts and sheepskins, but they're pricey and again you're probably better off getting them from an auto detailing supplier.
