I just purchased a Domino and I plan on using it for cabinet constuction.  I wanted to know which dominos people were using for different applications, such as cabinet cases, face frames etc.
Thanks
 Joe

I usually take the Domino which is 1/4 to 1/3 of the thickness of the wood. If you will use 3/4" Styles, Rails, Panels then take the 5 mm or 6 mm Domino's.

Hello Markus,
Very nice workshop and cabinets.

spike,  are you sure that is the size you use.?

you told me on all  3/4 that you preferred the larger one?

I use the 5-30 seems to be the best.  I would think the larger ones would blow out the wood?

Yep, the 1/3 of the stock thickness is a good general rule, though I find I use 5/30mm for most of the smaller things  - boxes, benches, frames - and 10/50mm for the bigger stuff like full-size doors and so on.

Either way, you'll enjoy experimenting with your new Domino ;)

Cheers, Pete

Markus,  I love how you used OSB for panels and what looks like larch for the rails and stiles on your shop cabinets.  Interesting.  Functional and it works great visually.  I would never have thought of that combination.  What were your inspirations?[attachimg=1]

you're right, the whole Cabinet is made from Larch and OSB. The inspiration was easy: OSB is very stably and cheap, and I can tell you, I used a lot of it. And I had already the Larch Lumber.
