Ok, I'm still working on it.  So be patient.  But... we have new smileys to have fun with!  Feedback is welcome, as always.  I'm sure this will still need some tweaking.

[thumbs up] [clap]

Childish.  A bunch of good smilies is gone now. And animated smileys are rather distracting. Sorry Shane, but as far as I'm concerned this is not an improvement.

Shane,

IMO, these are good.  But you might want to consider a few more static ones, especially a big toothy grin.

Regards,

Dan.

Alex, no need for an apology. I want the feedback, good or bad.

After seeing them in place, I would agree there are too many that are animated.  Maybe I need more ideas for what you guys wanted when there were multiple requests for more smileys to choose from.  Regarding the missing "good ones", can you give more details?  Quite a few of the static ones that I attempted to add had the same filename as existing ones and therefore did not upload properly.  I'll need to rename those and try again.

Although many folk like the emoticons, I personally don't use them at all.

I hearken back to a time when we used to indicate a very big grin, so that's my preference.

How about a limit on the number of smileys that can be used in each post.  When you get posts with > 2-3 smileys, I think it's time for a new post.

I like them. The previous ones were so nondescript that it was difficult to tell one from the other. For those that don't like them, then don't feel obligated to use them. They are at your disposal, but certainly not required for communication.  [tongue]  A picture is worth a thousand words, and an emoticon is worth at least several.

Shane, these are much better than the old smileys.  To start with, I can see these ones.

I have already used one of them in another thread.

Thanks, Frank

Ok, old smileys are on the top row and new ones on the bottom row.  Hopefully this will offer those that prefer each the ability to choose  [big grin]

Also, there is a link beside the bottom row.  Click on that and you will see additional choices.  I moved the few animated smileys that are new over to that window to hopefully keep their use to a minimum and keep them from being distracting when posting.

Steve, the forum software does not have the inherent functionality to limit the number of smileys per post.  But, if it becomes an issue then we will make adjustments accordingly to address it.

Thanks for the feedback.

It's awesome, I love these little guys!!

[wink] [unsure] [smile] [big grin] [scared] [blink] [eek] [huh] [cool] [smart] [embarassed] [tongue] [sad] [mad] [crying] [poke] [not worthy] [scratch chin] [doh] [drooling] [jawdrop] [welcome] [off topic] [oops] [ban]

Darcy, that looks like a freeze frame of the time you sanded your vac hose.

It was mostley this: [eek] with some of this afterwards: [mad] [doh]

Shane, we need a thanks, or thank you button.
