Finally finished and installed cabinets in my cabin and I think they turned out great. Used a homegrown Danish oil finish on walnut and satin poly on the wormy chestnut Barnwood. The rustic finish fits in with cabin well and is a little forgiving that fits my skill set.
Barnwood was like gold, so I made bathroom mirrors with some of the scraps.
Made decision to spend money on getting festooled up specifically for this project and I am happy with the decision. Tools made huge difference on the project, especially the domino, used for everything from cabinet door joinery to drawer assembly.
