Here is footage from some stuff Todd and I have been working on, which includes a shop based rail system finish project. The components are mahogany, and the video shows the prime/sand and finish stage. The spray technology is air assisted airless (a Titan unit that we are testing for future published review) and the post primer sanding is done with a RO90.

During this project, we hit on a strategy for production sanding of large spindle quantities. I will be writing more on this soon, but in a nutshell the concept is rather than sanding one spindle at a time, and changing the orientation of the tool several times on each spindle, it is more efficient to sand the same edge of multiple spindles at a time.

More on sanding here.

Thanks Scott.
Curious what grit paper you were using with RO90.

Makes sense.
Just like picking blueberries, you can get a lot more, quicker if you focus on the area you are at and don't wander around looking for the best ones  [big grin]

Thanks Tim, yes, I remember the blueberry picking years up in Maine as a child. Those formative experiences end up serving us well.

I was sanding at 150, and that was the only in between coat sanding, just smoothing off the primer.
