Hi All,
I'm very new to the site and very new to Festool too. But within a few short weeks a total convert. I bought myself a Domino XL to help me build my new kitchen from scratch and as I read on this site, it's very addictive. More little grey boxes are being added on a regular bases.

My first project before I start the kitchen is to build a decent work bench to make sure my work is square.  I had some nice big bits of quality pine that I salvages from a building skip last year. That was the legs and rails sorted. I bought 2 sheets of MDF for the top and the shelf to store my little Grey boxes. I got going with the Domino XL and after a few hours I had the base for a very sturdy bench base. I wanted to incorporate the 96mm centres MFT holes, but wanted a large top. so I looked at the various options on this site and decided to buy an MFT top to use as a template and routed the holes with a 18.5mm bit with guide bearing. Prior to routing I used a 19mm spade bit in my drill and to ensure I drilled vertically I purchase a cheap hand held drill press for £14.00 from Axminster Tools. This combination worked very well and I have the MFT top to use on saw horses for other projects outside the workshop. It has made the setting out of doors and planing stock to size a breeze with my dogs and Festool hold downs.
I'm now looking forward to cracking on with the kitchen and I'd like to thank Lee from Lime Painting & Decorating, Coalville Leicestershire who introduced me to the word FESTOOL.
Some photos of my bench and how I drilled to holes in the top.

Hey Festcool, welcome to the FOG!

Nice technique.

Don't forget to drop by and say Hello to your fellow countrymen - link in my signature.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I will also be cutting some Domino slots in the front legs as extra hold places as when planning the doors to size the current holes were not enough.
