Uh oh -

August 24 and we had morning lows of +28?F (-3?C) last night.  Now, that's not surprisingly early, but after the non-existent summer - measurable precipitation all but about six days from end-May through early August - it's just not fair!

How is autumn shaping up where youz allz are?

Just cooled off yesterday, taking a lot of humidity suffering away.

I'm *thrilled* for the approach of fall.  This summer has been the pits, what with shloads of rain, massive mosquito swarms, and oppressive sweat-soaking humidity.

Same here in NJ. I always have loved the change in seasons though, except maybe fall into winter - but that's because I  worry about driving in the snow.

In Southern California we are having our second HEAT wave in two weeks.  Right now it is 109 outside, tomorrow is going to be 106.  Fall is no where in sight.

In Arizona, it's hot with continued hot and the 10-day forecast is more hot.

I work in my garage shop for 1-2 hours at a time before coming in to cool down.

Usually, we get the first real break in heat on Halloween.  Yea, it gets cooler before that, but just drifts down.  Halloween is typically the day when you go "hey, it's a lot cooler today".

We had 111F here yesterday.  Today the claim was 'just' 103, but a monsoon storm kept trying to let loose so the humidity was horrible.  Forecast says this Sunday our high will be 99.  I hope they aren't teasing.

I spent seven years living in Manhattan, and after my last summer there, I swore never again. I couldn't handle the humidity, and used to change my shirt as soon as I got to the office. Most people did. Then you would change again as soon as you got home.

This summer in Montreal has been stunning. It has been hot, but not too hot, sunny and with low humidity. Temps usually in the 80s. We only had the aircon on once, and that was during the heatwave in early July.

I do feel we are moving into Autumn earlier than usual though. The last couple of days it has been in the 60s when I leave for work.
