Well, I had three sheets of "Ebony" Formica on 12mm MDF turn up this morning - at 8:00am prompt - thank you Mitchells Worktops...
I have to admit, I thought they look pretty darn good.
Here's a few photo's of what I've been upto. I'm at the stage where all measurements done, battens up and squared, panels cut. I'm just leaving some glues on the BACK of the laminates to see what holds best - any recommendations ?!?
I'll end up with 20mm gap left, top & right. 20mm gap to the bottom of which 12mm will be taken by some Alu to stop "stuff" going down the back of the kitchen units.
No chips either side of the Formica - I used a bit of 6mm MDF to cut on...
