My design criticism is flagging this post.

Tell me about the piece that covers the plumbing. Is there a reason you chose to run the grain across the short axis of the wood?

Is this paint grade?

It's paint grade yes. Unfortunately the design was not mine. Owner was more of a "Can you build this?" type.  She wanted open space to put baskets and such.  The box over the ptrap was mitered and left open in back. It slides out for access. If someone sees a fatal flaw I handle criticism well I'm not quitting my day job just yet.

Painted up that'll look pretty cool. Hides what needs to be hidden and leaves space for, you know, stuff.

I am paint grade myself, one day I'll get as far as caring about grain, right now it's a case of getting what I can from a sheet of ply  [scared]

Why did you the client now want to go all the way to the floor with the bottom shelf?  Seems like they will get a lot of dust and dirt ending up under there with it being a challenge to clean.  And it's wasted space that could be used for a second shelf, drawers or something.  There is always a need for storage in a bath.

Also, would have liked to see the bottom shelf scribed to the wall.
