foam insert question

Will it open with the lid or will it just lay on top after I open it?

Basically wanting to know if it is attached to the lid with some sort of adhesive or tight fit?

There are adhesive strips on the bottom. You can use them to secure it to the Systainer.

The foam has a bit of PSA on the top of the foam that sticks to the lid.  I've yet to have one come loose.
