FOG-exclusive meet-up at Festool Connect 2017

Question: I don't drink but 3 Floyds is between my house and Lebanon. Should I, would it be appropriate / inappropriate to pick up a case or two for guys to enjoy during the FOG event?
Let me know yes, no and/or particular flavors.

3 Floyds is FANTASTIC. That's a really generous offer. If you want to bring some for people, I'd save them for the hotel or Saturday. Because the FOG is in a bar, we can't bring in outside food or drinks.

I have been a long time viewer/lurker and yet to post, only because the rabbit hole is deep and am scared to fall down! [eek], anyway the main reason I am replying to this thread is I have filled out the rsvp however i am bring my father and a friend (father is not internet savvy yet a longtime woodworker and the reason I am into it and a friend who I surprised with the trip to Festool Connect for his bday last week so he is not a member of FOG yet but is borrowing all my tools lately. Would it be acceptable for them to come or do I need to have them register as  FOG member?

Yes, that's fine if your father wants to join. Please complete a registration for him as well. In the "username" field, just put "[member=61542]CustomAV[/member] Guest" or something like that. The bar that we'll be in is divided into two sections. Everyone at the FOG event will have a name tag to help bartenders know gets put on the Festool tab and who doesn't.

I didn't want to put this on the FOG until close the event, because I don't want a bunch of non-FOG folks turning up. Here's the info:

Brian "Sedge" Sedgeley and [member=57769]TylerC[/member] from Festool will be at the event along with the FOG's loyal moderators, [member=1619]SRSemenza[/member]  and [member=1674]Peter Halle[/member]

The meetup will take place at People's Revel Room in downtown Lebanon. The Revel Room is part People's Brewing Company and is the regular hangout spot for the Festool USA team, and they've become good Festool friends. They also have food at People's, so feel free to eat dinner there. (The actual bar was made using Festool products.)

When you enter Peoples, go left into the bar area instead of right into the restaurant area.

Festool will pick up the tab from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Feel free to hang out at People's before or after the event on your own dime. Please drink responsibly.

Well damn my buddy Jerry and I were at the people's bar last night and figured it was a Festool thing but didn't really know why. now I see it on the Forum I wished I'd known. Don't really look at this part of the Forum very much oh well looking forward to the day

Some of it will be streamed live on Facebook and Instagram, and we'll be putting more video online in the next week or two. We won't have a dedicated livestream this year, because
a. The format is different than most other years. It's less based around speakers and presentations, so a long-running livestream makes less sense.
b. Lebanon is pretty much in the middle of a cornfield and a dead spot. Our success with live streams from here in the past has been questionable.

    The gathering was quite enjoyable. Seemed that everyone had a good time.  I just have to work on remembering screen names and real names and faces.  [huh]  I am sure I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone but I hope to get in some more conversations at Connect.          Speaking of which ...........  look at the time I better get moving  [eek]

Thanks to everyone who came to the FOG event on Friday! I hope that you all had a great time. I definitely did!

It was really great to get to meet you all face to face. I just wish we'd had more time, because there were so many good people to get to know better. It means to much that you guys made the trip!
