I am aware of the problems and working to resolve them. There may be more instances where the forum is inaccessible periodically throughout the day. My apologies for the inconvenience.

Shane

I could not download around 12.15am last night AEST and after 10mins gave up and went to sleep.

But Shane it actually has been slow to open since Monday.

With appreciation for your support to FOG.

Apparently, workplaces around the world saw a jump in productivity whilst the FOG servers were down...

So far, Canada, Ireland and Australia. Was this an international rather than US issue?

Anyway back to productive work?

PS. Remember that often we outside the US actually work with 'ghost' sites (not real technical name) where the main structure of non local sites are kept on local servers. This takes pressure off international communication systems. In the case of this site, I imagine the only data from this post sent to US will be my words, not the whole site. This may be why, at least up until now, only non US members have posted issues.

Oddly since the server down I haven't received email notifications of new posts in subscribed threads. Anyone else use that feature with the same problem? And BTW I couldn't access the site either so it impacted at least some US folks.

I'm subscribed to this one and just got a notification when you posted, as well as with the other replies in the thread. I have also received email notifications for PMs.

If anyone else is having trouble, let me know and I'll check into it further.

No problems from Nigeria, but don't feel like the lone stranger. Sawmillcreek has been unreachable with a 404 error indicated for more than 16 hours. Earlier had a maintenance announcement instead of the front page...now just dead, so FOG's issues are miniscule in comparison! Great job keeping this one online!

I should have gotten an email about your post here but didn't.  I made sure to confirm that "notify me of replies" was checked.

I should also add that the email account I use is active, been getting other stuff in during this time and just rechecked it.

Paul, are you getting PM notifications? I'll send you a test PM momentarily. Let's see if anyone else if having trouble or if it's isolated to you.

In the mean time, can you check your spam filter?

I actually don't use spam filters for these types of reasons. I changed e-mail address just now to see if there was some sort of conflict with the previous one.
