OK so its vary apparent the vac sys will not make it here in north America so over the next two weeks i will put together a step by step instructions on how to assemble such a unit . it will consist of a base made from (UHMW )plastic for the base a pivot arm with changeable cups that are neoprene and of course a fogtainer for the pump. all components will be available for all of you to get if you chose to build one most things can be acquired on eBay or your local plastic
supply co. and hardware store. so stay tuned for parts list and step by step instructions [big grin].

I put together something using parts from Joe woodworker - probably not as fancy as the one you are planning to build. But I can post picture if you are interested.

OK I'm not sure what your trying to copy or make could you post the NAINA item so we can see?

OK got it but what I pay for drawer boxes... ain't worth me makin' none. and the quality's great...
BTW I can make hand cut dt drawers quickly.

OK... for the Vacuum look at this http://www.qualityvak.com/
I've used it for my vacuum pres for years, ah but won't fit in a systainer but it works... and he's got different sizes.

these are nice but costly i have purchased two gast dual head vacuum pumps that produce 28 Hg  and are around 100 bucks

where did you get the cups?

ebay is a good place to look i just buy them a few different suppliers they are all from asset recovery firms and they are industrial quality neopreen        good luck

i just got the vacuum pumps and now i will start assembling the suction module shortly. this will be the most difficult part of this build do to the
pivot arm it must be vary strong. it should support a extreme amount of force and vibration and be available to all who wants to build one. as for the fogvactainer
it will be fairly simple to put together i decided to go with a computer plug it Cord since my request for a plug it pig tail convertion kit info went unanswered [tongue]. and we all can get a cp plug it cord everyone should have a dead cp laying about [big grin].

Lance

Lance, who did you ask for the plug it cord as i cant see a request on this post for one ?

I was watching this thread closely then it went dead.  How's the vac-sys project coming along?  Love to see it make it to fruition...
