I'm trying to respond to a personal message from [member=63880]James Carriere[/member] but for some reason I'm blocked from responding in pm. So heres an open letter
Hi James.
I would suggest that you go to Carl Ras in Sydhavnen. Carl Ras is a retailer for professional builders etc, but this exact location also sells to non-professional - meaning people without an account. Also, they can order stuff over night from their main depot, so you should be able to get most things within a short time frame. Their prices are standard and they rarely have any special offers, but they have the widest selection and are closest to the city. It is still in an industrial part of the city - but a cab will get you there in ten minutes. Or a rental bike - Copenhagen style
Also, in the store they dont have price tags, so either ask for help or download their app Carl Ras in App store or for Android. It has a scanner that gives you the current price. That's how I like to shop.
Check out www.carl-ras.dk - just search for Festool.
Address is: Bådehavnsgade 12, 2450 KØBENHAVN SV
For a more indie experience check out Millner Værktøj og Maskiner (Tools and Machines). It is a small shop in Frederiksberg, which is a nice part of town. The owner, Glæder, is really nice, German and quite the Festool lover. He has a pretty good selection out back and is eager to talk about it. I'm not sure how his English is, but I would imagine that it is good. Might be more a novelty but I like to support him when I can. Very few local tool shops left - big box stores are taking over.
Address for Millner: Godthåbsvej 24, 2000 Frederiksberg
If you have any questions while you are here - give me a call at . I live in Elsinore now, so I'm not in Copenhagen, but I can help out on the phone.
Enjoy your stay - bring a warm jacket.
