I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up.  Yesterday we had an issue on the forum and that situation was handled early this morning.  Other work will be happening today, so if there are some glitches along the way I thought you should know in advance.

Thanks to all of you who contacted us yesterday to let us know about problems.

And thank you to [member=101]Festool USA[/member]  for working into the early hours of the morning and today to get things fixed and move us forward.

I hope what I’m see is a glitch. The layout is very strange.

Hi Don,

May I ask what you are seeing?  It looks okay from my end.  I don't currently have access to an outside machine.

Thanks for any info.

Hi Peter,

Glad to see the site working again.

BTW, I am not seeing images in recent posts.

I'm seeing issues from two separate machines -
1) Chrome on Windows
2) FF on Windows
3) FF on Linux

Looks like there are a number of scripts not loading

FF Web console lists:
Loading failed for the with source “https://festoolownersgroup.com/Themes/skyline_20a/scripts/jquery.min.js”.
festoolownersgroup.com:5
Loading failed for the with source “https://festoolownersgroup.com/Themes/skyline_20a/scripts/newalert.js”.
festoolownersgroup.com:6
Loading failed for the with source “https://festoolownersgroup.com/Themes/default/scripts/script.js?fin20”.
festoolownersgroup.com:7
Loading failed for the with source “https://festoolownersgroup.com/Themes/skyline_20a/scripts/theme.js?fin20”.
festoolownersgroup.com:8
Loading failed for the with source “https://festoolownersgroup.com/Themes/default/scripts/ila.js”.
festoolownersgroup.com:24
ReferenceError: smc_Toggle is not defined[Learn More]

And if you try one of the listed script files view-source:https://festoolownersgroup.com/Themes/skyline_20a/scripts/jquery.min.js you get Unable to connect

Thank you very much Christopher!  I've made a few changes based upon the errors you were seeing.

Could you let me know if you are still seeing these errors from the outside?

Thank you very much,
-Scott

Scott this is what I'm seeing. It comes & goes, it will be normal and then if I click on something it may or may not change the formatting.

Cannot access www.festoolownersgroup.com from Chrome, produces an "ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED" error.  Have to add the /index.php for it to load.  Also the "Unread" button at the top RH side also produces the same error for me.

Scott here are 2 more screen shots. The very same thread and contributor. The 2 shots are only 11 seconds apart.

Hey there.

Are you trying to use HTTPS by chance?  If so, that is the problem.  I'm putting a new cert into place now.  If not, let me know and I'll see what I can find out.

Hey Cheese,

I suspect this is a caching error.  I'll clear it and let's see what that does for you.  I expect it to clear up as I continue the maintenance tonight.

Sorry for the trouble.

I am not trying to, but when I click the "Unread" link at the top of the page, this is the URL that is presented: https://festoolownersgroup.com/unread/

Very please to see a cert being added.  When I tryhttps://festoolownersgroup.com I am getting a cert error.  I can forward that to you if it is helpful.

Thanks,
Bob

Yesterday, I had an issue where every time I tried to post or reply, a start new topic page appeared.
I tried to start a new topic to say as much but, was met with a continuous start new topic page?

I eventually PM’d Peter, and this morning everything seemed ok again.

It is okay now. I can’t explain what I saw this morning other than there were do sections just lines of text. Very difficult to navigate. It looked just like the attachments cheese is showing.

Bob,

Thanks for the offer, but I'm okay for now.  I was in the middle of cert install, but had to run some errands.  I'm back at it now.  You should see a real certificate if you try SSL now.  The only real issue is the version of SMF we are using isn't fully SSL-ready.  That's what went wrong this morning.  I'll be remedying this as soon as possible with all efforts to avoid downtime.

Thank you all for the feedback.

Yea, this was an error with the server.  Marketing guys found me and I got it up and running last night.  Sorry about that.

Yea...I'm not quite sure what it was doing there.  The certificate has been added, so it should work for you now.  Please let me know if not.

Thanks again,
