Found a more reasonable price on the Mafell p1cc and pulled le Trigger

If you handled the tools and more importantly heard or felt the motors in use you'd just understand.
With all due respect this is confirmation bias. Case in point: Kapex feels and sounds awesome because design flaw does not manifest itself through sound. On the other hand, TS freaks out new users with growling, which turns out to be normal and does not result in failure. Little or no information on longevity can be discerned from how it "feels".

Everyone has different opinions and thats what makes life interesting. I disagree with you though on the kapex sound. Ive never gotten used to how timid it feels or sounds. Sure you can explain it with the soft start electronics and load monitoring of the motor but really you can feel and hear the difference between a Mafell and Festool machine, especially under LOAD.

Confirmation bias also can only be applied to someone who owns one manufacturer's tools over the others. I have 10:1 festools to mafell tools and yet Im spending money on items I already have from Festools line, to replace them with a Mafell tool.

Try out some Mafell saws with no bias towards festool in your mind and then see how you feel.

I've noticed TCO's many Ebay listings in the last month or two.
However, a visit to their website explicitly states that they won't
ship their Mafell offerings (at least the 110v) to the USA.
Kept me from pulling the trigger.  Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.  [big grin]

Yup I got mine problem free. The cunex blades are monstrous there's no way you could flex it

Received mine with no issues today. What a machine! I have a project next week that it will get a lot of use on so it was worth the shot. Thanks to the OP.

The weather is getting cold again, so I pulled out the jiggy to cut up a couple of pallets yesterday afternoon.
I forgot to use the blade-n-decker which i reserve mostly for ABS/PVC in the dirt... I used a Bosch blade.

Interestingly a young fellow (I think or a maybe tom-boy) rocked up on a BMX bike as asked if I was furniture maker.
When I said I was making firewood he must have wondered what sort of moron would use a p1cc on a pallet?  :o

Anyhow he explained to me that he want to have a ramp to do 'tricks' on, and asked how much that would cost.
I asked if he had a lot of  money and he said no.
I said, we could probably do something where he pulled weeds for 1/2 hour.
But he needs to make a sketch with a ruler to know it is to actually make.
Off he went with a promise to be back later on the weekend.

Then I got to wondering whether and how to mitigate liability? I assume he is fatherless and needs some basic help. But I also do not want to be supporting some kid should he crack his skull open using a piece of wood and later pointing me out one who contributes to a minor's delinquency... But on the other hand, some kid that has an interest in such things seems like a good thing, and when I was young I lost a bit-o-bark on a bicycle too with no long term effects  :o

Anyhow I am interested in the legal ideas, but it is drifting off of a p1cc thread a bit.

The Mrs was happy that the pot belly was stoked-up when she arrived home, and just as stoked that the jiggy was in its Tanos systainer and no where to be seen.  [cool]
