I also have a reg fast cap tape that I use for construction type projects .Staniam said:jobsworth said:I dunno, I like mines
For real dou. Since I purchased the Festool tape measure it's been my go to tape when I'm woodworking or doing stuff in the house. Otherwise it's my $25 Milwaukee tape measure with it's awesome magnet.
The Festool tape measure is great if it's used how it was probably meant to be used. In a shop, not on a construction site or as a #1 tape for related projects. Its a woodworking measure, if you're expecting to take it outside to build your deck then you're wasting your own money.
Just my opinion.
But for mark and measuring reg day to day things,
That little Festool tape works for me.
Same here. I'm building furniture/woodworking 80-90% of the time so the Festool one is basically my main. But I prefer Milwaukee's for the other part of the time.
I keep the little Festool tape in the top of my drills sys 2 attic sustained when Im not using it and in my back pocket when working. Im currently looking for a little clip for it though. I'm thinking of something like the Milwaukee M12 drill belt clips. That would be perfect.
