I dunno, I like mines

For real dou. Since I purchased the Festool tape measure it's been my go to tape when I'm woodworking or doing stuff in the house. Otherwise it's my $25 Milwaukee tape measure with it's awesome magnet.

The Festool tape measure is great if it's used how it was probably meant to be used. In a shop, not on a construction site or as a #1 tape for related projects. Its a woodworking measure, if you're expecting to take it outside to build your deck then you're wasting your own money.

Just my opinion.
To me it's my day to day tape, like easy to hold accurate, for other things like measuring a flat panel like ply for a cab box side that I need to be in 32mm increments , I use my fast cap flat tape. I also have a reg fast cap tape that I use for construction type projects .
But for mark and measuring reg day to day things,
That little Festool tape works for me.

Same here. I'm building furniture/woodworking 80-90% of the time so the Festool one is basically my main. But I prefer Milwaukee's for the other part of the time.

I keep the little Festool tape in the top of my drills sys 2 attic sustained when Im not using it and in my back pocket when working. Im currently looking for a little clip for it though. I'm thinking of something like the Milwaukee M12 drill belt clips. That would be perfect.

My favourite tape measurerererer.

I handed out my last one and bought the festool version at the shop at...$26
the next day.  It's not a $26 tape measure, but I was also able to pick up at the shop...so...
It's certainly not for contractors and carpenters and whatnot.  In fact, they are rinky dinky... but I have grown quite fond of them over the years.  Crappy catch and all.  They certainly can survive a fall, however.

There was a "how it's made" type German television program that showed the viso being assembled.  I've lost track of the YouTube link, though.

Where can I buy this tape measure in the USA?

you won't be saving much scratch

Intersting quote from that website,

Picture does not represent the color
of tape measure, they will be shipped
in red or black depending on what we
have and not as an option.

That wouldn't be any good for me then,  as I like my tape measures to be As bright as possible, if I put down a black tape measure I probably would never see it again.
