I actually thought this would be the case, instead the solution people have come up with is to ditch metric entirely and sell depth-gauges in multiple ranges. Not a fan of adding finickiness to what is supposed to be a straightforward tool.

Funny that in the woodworking world, some think "straightforward" is non-sexy, uninspiring and uninteresting. and they decide to clutter their tools with ..... Oh, well. Their money, their call!

Well, I'm sad they have not "seen the light". I switched to metric in 2018 for shop stuff. Now I hate using inches when doing stuff in the house...I really am not a fan of fractions. LOL And with the Domino machines...the media is metric so positioning using fractions is kinda against the "don't mix measuring systems in a project. Ask NASA how well that worked out years ago. Domino positioning only needs to be relative to the same face, too...no measuring is required.
