Hello Foggers,
Wanted to share this. Just picked up my new 2 1/2 gallon pressure pot from Fuji Spray. As I got a large painting project to do, filling the pot supplied with the gun many times is a pain in the butt. So I decided to get a 2 1/2 gallon pressure pot so I can place the gallon in it. The compressor will pressurize the pot to deliver the paint to the gun and I will use the full air from my Q5 to atomize the paint.

Should be fun.
Cheers,
JC

Wow thats really cool! Didnt even know that was an option. So how do these work? I have a Q4. Does this requite a separate air compressor to pressurize the pot or can it be pressurized from the turbine?

Also, I dont even see that on their website. How much was it?

You will need a small compressor to pressurize the pot. I use a Rolair JC10.
I just tried it with water and it works. Only needed to pressurize the pot 10psi which is set with a valve on top of the pot.
Now to test it out with paint.

Cheers,
JC

So how much was it? I dont see it listed for sale anywhere. Is it a new item for them?

Hi ben,
This is a new product for them. It was designed to go with their new compressor guns but I'm using it with my T70. As for pricing, They will let me know tomorrow the US price and the Canadian price. I get special pricing as Fuji and I trouble shoot and test things together.
I'll post once I know.

Cheers,
JC

For those who have never seen the efficiency of a pot connected to a gun. In this video, Q4, Qual Craft pot, I think I was using the JC-10 compressor to pressurize the pot. I do recall the pot pressure was set around 18 psi.

As JC mentioned, the 2.5 gallon pot has enough room in it so you can just place a gallon can in it, really cut down on clean up time. Speaking of cleaning one of the easiest systems to clean.

For filtering, use Trimaco pickup tube socks.

Do you have a preference between the Fuji /w Pot and the Graco Ultra?  I've had a hard time spraying BM Advance through my Fuji 4 stage (No Pot) as a hobbyists...  The Graco Ultra MAX seems interesting since it supports a large product selection (i.e. Latex, lacquer, shellac...)

Thanks

$340 not bad if it’s a quality unit.  What accessories come with it (hoses etc.)?  You can get cheap 2 gallon pots for around 150 on Amazon but I’m not really sure what the differentiating specs/features are.

I’ve seen various door rotisseries in your videos and photos.  I need to build or acquire a pair or two.  Any pointers you can share?

The latest set is Uni-Strut. This gave me the ability to remove a few bolts making storage easy.  I’d take some pictures for you but the rotisserie’s are in Indiana, I’m in Colorado.

Send me a PM next Thursday afternoon, I’ll be home at get some pictures then (if you remind me, this getting old is reeking havoc with my memory).

[member=4105]tjbnwi[/member] Thanks Tom - very kind of you to take time on your trip back in Indiana.  No worries at all if it's not possible.  I may be a bit younger than you but I bet I'll have trouble remembering to remind you.  [big grin]

I gotta get that new Fuji pot.  Been waiting for them to come out with a big one like that for some time.
