Fuji Pressure Pot

I gotta get that new Fuji pot.  Been waiting for them to come out with a big one like that for some time.

Waiting?  Am I missing something (I probably am)?  What would be the advantage of the Fuji pot, aside from the logo, over any other quality one e.g. CA Tech?

The Fuji office here in Canada is in Toronto which I'm close to, and I have found that their customer service and assistance has been great for my Q4 Gold.  I don't even know if anybody carries CA Tech here in Canada.

Mcfaddens and Woodessence carries CA Tech.
Both are very good.
Last time I looked, Richelieu carries a limited range of stuff. Looks like they are mostly a Kremlin dealer now.

Is the CAT one any cheaper? It does look like the exact same unit.

Depending on where you get it, The CAT tank is more expensive.

So for those that use pressure pots. On the compressor you use how do you deal with moisture? From what I read most people are using small compressors. I can't imagine your using a dryer? Or is moisture not really an issue?

Moisture from compressing/un-compressing air is not an issue when all you’re using the air for is to pressurize the pot. Once, per fill up. A 2-1/2 gallon will have consumed less than 1/2 cubic foot of air by the time all the liquid has been pushed out.

Not enough moisture in a single cubic foot to worry about.

Just wanted to say thanks to this forum and all that contribute. I've ordered my pot from Fuji. Once again great service and ultimately its the customer service i've received from them in the past which really made for an easy decision,Where  is  a good place to get paint sundries for spraying . My local Sherwin is great but its a small location and do not stock many supplies. I was surprised at some of the prices for pot liners. Any one use regular garbage bags to keep the inside clean?

Looking for an air  psi setting to start with for  the fuji 2.5 gallon pot and a T70 gun
Call Fuji. Ask them what they recommend.

It all depends on the viscosity of the paint and how long the fluid tube is. When you pressurize the tank you will see the pain go up the tube about 1/2 way. When you depress the trigger on the gun, you will then see the paint flow faster. Try setting the pressure at 10psi and see how much paint is delivered. When you are able to atomize the paint and get good coverage, then you found it. If too much decrease pressure, if not enough, increase pressure. I found somewhere between 10-14psi works for me, but again its dependant on the viscosity of the material.

Cheers,
JC

Simple rule of thumb for pot pressure, is pull the trigger on the gun (no atomizing air), stream should be steady and fall in an even arc about 12” from the tip of the gun.

To much fluid pressure cause all kinds of grief.

What fluid hoses and diameter are you guys using for the pressure pots? I'm probably going to be getting one of the pots and 25' fluid hose, but I can't find much on which diameter would be best.
