Im sorry if this is not the right venue.

But

I would like to announce that Fullerbuilt Plane is now taking orders. Paypal accepted.

Thank you all very much. Any questions?

Eiji,

Congrats of the new "endeavor" - if that's the right word.
Is there an oil finish on the wood?

Bob

Bob,

Yes the planes are finished with couple of coats of oil and wax

Thanks,

Eiji

Shipping to the UK will add 25.00 for the 6" mini smoother and 35.00 for the 9" smoother.

Hi, I seem to remember that you have built a lovely box-set of both.. are you going to offer that too? I would be interested

Anybody know anything about import duty?  My mate tells me i would have to pay VAT & import duty whenbuying anything from overseas.  Is this true ?

If you buy something from outside the EU and have it shipped here, then it should be labelled as such and have an invoice with it. Customs will then charge you VAT & import duty based on what's in the invoice.

If it's sent marked as a 'gift', without any invoice, then there's a chance it'll get through however they do randomly open packages to check that the paperwork is 100% correct. If they pick yours, and they have any suspicion that it isn't actually a gift, they will charge you VAT & import duty on it anyway. They'll also impound it until the bill is paid.

Have Elji pack it like its a present from a relative. Pay him a couple bucks extra to throw in a card, bar of yuppy soap and a San Diego t-shirt. You'll be fine.

Hi Eiji,

Thanks for the response. I will be in touch.

Hey guys I don't think it is fair to ask someone if they would conspire to defraud the tax department in the UK on a open forum? Just my opinion FWIW.

Really nice palne, Eiji!!!  I have followed you thread at tF on them also.

I always try to avoid my opinions, unless I'm with my close friends. I much prefer to only discuss things that I can verify and substantiate.

With that said, I have been following Eiji's work for quite a while and I consider it virtually nonpareil. Of course, everyone has an equal and also, a better. But for purposes of discussion, this work by Eiji is absolutely superb, IMHO.

I have never conversed with him or traded messages, emails or anything with him and therefore, I don't know why I am doing this... I look at Eiji as an Artist in Multiple Materials. And, a REALLY DARN GOOD ONE! Please forgive the brief shouting, mod's...

I am occasionally involved in international business deals and it is not, in my humble opinion (notice no acronym), appropriate to ask anyone, that isn't a hardened exporter, to cross the lines of propriety.

If the receiver of something, that they want to cheat on, wants to cheat, the onus should be on them to cheat. That's my opinion. I hesitate, as I stated earlier, to put my opinions in a debate.

In this case, I feel like I might be protecting an Artist. I hope I can.

Tom
