Just to add a bit ........................ Festool Systainers are made by Tanos. Same umbrella company. With the exception of specific tool inserts and the stiffening piece across the inside back edge , they are the same and integrate in the same ways.

Mix 'n' match. So have at it  [smile]

Picked up two myself.

Now, if only a few Sortainer variations would magically appear, around this discount, I could finish fleshing out my storage requirements.
 
It may take a while, but generally Amazon does follow through.

For example, I purchased a 18x24 granite surface plate from them with Amazon prime.  The cost was $55.  Everywhere else, the shipping would have been ~$80.  To their credit, they shipped it to me for free (Amazon Prime); it just took a while for them to get one in stock first.  However, after my order was processed, the price of the product went up by $80 :)
 
I can't remember if Amazon charges the account when the item is ordered or shipped, do you know?
 
I talked to someone at amazon about the orders.  While they could not give specific dates, they said that the items should be coming in soon.

I made some dividers for my new 150mm abrasive systainer.  It will have to sit on the bench until it the new home comes.

 
My order says:

"DELIVERY ESTIMATE
We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date."
 
I joined this site because I was searching for Tanos / Systainers at a better price.  I ordered several of these, but like may others on here, it simply says that they "need more time" before they can ship them.
 
It can take quite a while sometimes for Amazon to get new stock.  Don't be surprised if it takes a couple months.  They should not charge your credit card until they can ship it.
 
???  A couple MONTHS.  Well, I guess if it takes that long I should be glad I got in on the deal anyway.

I wonder why they were selling them so inexpensively for a few days.  I thought it was because they were overstocked on them, or maybe there was a slight design change coming and these were "older" versions.

It appears at least one person has received notification that their order shipped.  We'll see.
 
Amazon's pricing is funky.  I had a PC 7.5 hp compressor saved for close to two years,  I check my saved wish for stuff every day.  I almost bought one from Grizzly when they had them for $1500.00...glad it was not opportune at that time because I ended up buying one from Amazon for $1250.00 delivery by drop gate to my shop.  I did the dame thing with a Makita 12" sliding chop saw.  I own the original Hitachi 8.5 that I bought when they first came out.  I really could not justify $650.00 but when it showed up for $450.00 I bit the bullet.  Save your wants and then check the list regularly, also check Amazon warehouse deals for returns, i've gotten some great buys there also.

Of course, the way my memory is these days, I'll probably forget and buy them at full price from woodcraft....
