I was looking at the plastic cards including with my Sustainers showing an image of the tool and got to thinking I'd like to have them for SYS-1 boxes to remind me what is in them. I then thought it would be nice to have a card with my name and/or company name and phone number on them.

Is anyone interested in purchasing something like this? I have found a place that can print them and customize them with different names and other data. I am thinking the cards would be ordered in blocks of 10. I have not figured out a price point yet.

If I get some interest I'll pursue it farther.

Doing something like that already.

I have a mate run me some Printed Alloy nameplates with 3m VHB backing for my systainers.

I have also used the label template to do the tooling labels also, which i ended up laminating for protection, however they are not as nice as a dedicated printed credit card style insert.

Pitto that look really good. I've done something similar, but I've used white card with black text from word and laminated my labels. I found after having a few systainers it gets confusing whats in what. What size systainer are you using for your makita drills and charger?

Dan,
With T-Locs, you can tell the size by the number of enclosed areas in the label column. Counting the label area itself, but not the area that has the cutout for the classic latch. So a Sys1 has just the label area. Pitto's Makita box has the label area plus two more boxes, which makes it a Sys3. Hope that helps. :)

Cheers didn't think of that. Any idea how he's managed to get the picture of his drill on the underside of the lid?

sorry, been out of the office for a while,

yes, i did a layout in sketchup thats the exact outline of the festool lid lable, then i offset it a few mm to allow for the lamination.

when i do a new systainer, i set it out, trace out the tool on the foam, and then once its done i take a pic using my phone.

then drop the photo into sketchup, add some nice tool logo's and get it printed and laminated.

its a bit of a process, but its well worth it. My sys4 hand tool box is a mess, and its frustrating me as i need to get in and do a ply insert, but i am time poor at the moment and its going to have to wait.
