Gallery for Festool Owners Group

I have just installed a feature that provides additional details about photos posted in the gallery.

When you click on a gallery photo, you see relevant information displayed about that photo.  Here are the details that now appear:
  • Date and time the photo was digitized
  • ISO data
  • Make and model of the camera used to take the photo
  • Software used to edit or process the photo
  • "IPTC" data (for photos owned by members of the IPTC, International Press Telecommunications Council)

Below is a full (long) list of the other information that could be enabled using this feature (currently, these are turned off).  I would not turn all of them on, of course, but if people would like to see any of these displayed let me know:

Another update:
I've activated member linking in the gallery.  Now, beneath each thumbnail in the gallery you will see the name of the member who posted that image.

The following screen shot illustrates what I'm talking about (the linked name is circled in red):
[attachthumb=2]

Clicking on the member name brings up a "profile" window for that member's gallery activities.  For example, you can get a list of all photos that have been posted by that member, no matter what album the photos are in.  The following screen shot illustrates this feature:
[attachthumb=1]

Give it a try!

Everyone,
As you probably already know, we have a "TEMPORARY" album in the gallery.  This is a holding area.  I move photos out of these two albums into a more permanent spot as soon as I know where you want them to reside.

If you post photos to "TEMPORARY," and you don't see it moving out within a couple of days, that generally means I'm not sure where you want to put them.  In this case, just send me a quick personal message so I can figure out where you want your photos to go.

Thanks,
Matthew

OK Everyone,
I have moved this discussion into the "Forum Software Tutorials & Instructions" section.  Feel free to continue posting any comments on the gallery.
Matthew
