I just found this. I'm so sorry for your loss. May the Lord God grant you and your family peace through this tragic time.

Thanks again to all for the very kind words, both here and in emails.

Here's something my daughter wrote on Facebook the other day.

My Uncle, my Godfather...
Words cannot begin... I won't even try to express them here. You know my heart and that's what matters.
I can't believe you have left so suddenly, so soon. I adore you, my Godfather. You are always with me. Even now I feel you with me. That is what gives me hope. You are important to me in so many ways. I will forever treasure you in my heart. Thank you for all of the beautiful notes in my cards, making me laugh, sharing great music and Woodstock stories, and always asking about my art. I would have told you about the nude models that came in for class and I know you would've had some choice words along with the rest of my family... It would have cracked me up, I know it. You know I loved your artwork, too. I'm so thankful to have spoken to you the day I moved out of college. You congratulated me for completing my first year at Stevens, wished me luck at my summer job, and we both spoke about how we were looking forward to our annual summer family barbecue in Upstate New York. I love it up there so much. I will remember this conversation forever.
It feels like there is a hole in my heart, but I know this is temporary and that you haven't left. I know you are with me, but I still miss you very much. Until we meet again.
Your loving Goddaughter,
Margaret
