As it happens, a friend of mine happens to be in Germany at the moment doing some art installation work, and as a fellow Festool enthusiast, he's taking a trip to the store tomorrow to tool up.

Wondering if I should ask for anything accessory wise?  I think I'm ruling out the tools, just because I want to have things protected by warranty -- though it's hard to pass up on some of the cordless options, like the DWC.

I'm definitely going to have him get the suction reducer for the 27mm hose, but beyond that, I can't think of anything.

I might also have him get the right angle chuck for the PDC if it's significantly cheaper than here.

Cheese, Lee Valley has sys IIs with the attic lids.  On their site search for Tanos and you can find what they offer.  I've bought three and changed the systainer they are on with two.  I put one on a sys V that houses my Senco compressor...I just remove the front two feet and the unit fits perfectly, I remove my compressor for use and reinstall the feet.  The attic lid is great for accessories.  I also put one on my sys II combi where I store my drills and batteries.  The third sys II houses my Fein drill and accessories.

Edward, just cutting 3" cast iron pipe with an angle grinder, getting hit in the face with sparks and thought of this...Festool safety goggles in green & purple made by Uvex. I don't think they're available in the US.

Hmmm.  I'll check those out.  Thanks.

In College, when someone announced they were making a beer run, what they were really saying was "does anyone need anything"?

Of course, the financial logistics of gathering items for other people, who are located across the country, would be a nightmare.

I like to think of myself as a generous person, but no, my question/post is purely self-serving.

I'd ask for a suction reducing adopter to use with the smaller sanders.  I keep hoping it will come to the NA soon.

What is Festool # of that suction reducing adaper?

spindle cutter 489284

spindle 490131

you can't get this in the states i love mine

I use it primarily for rabbiting and using the router for planing.it give a exceptional finish both the rabbits/ grooves and planing. Only downside is you have to buy the arbor separate. I would like festool to come up with other uses for the arbor.
