German tools workin in UK?

Hi guys
Haven't posted for ages, my friend is in Germany and was wondering if he brought power tools back with him is it just a simple plug change when back in the UK? Would the tool still work to full capability I know they use same voltage as us here in the UK  but am I missing something?

As long as they are 240V machines he can use them by just swapping the connector, use an EU-UK adapter or an integrated adapter.
If he has Festool machines with Plug-it cords he can just buy some new UK cords.
In the UK they also use 110V machines but they are only required for building sites.
