Get a grip on your plunge router with our unique Control Grip.
Simply remove the knob and reuse the screw to secure the Control Grip in it's place. All you need is a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Takes less than a minute to upgrade your router to our new Control Grip.
The Control Grip gives you better balance when performing edge work because it provides more downforce on the supported side of the router. When you are performing edge work using a router more than half the router base is hanging out in space unsupported. Because the pivot point is off center the unsupported side has greater downward force and you must constantly fight to maintain the router base flat on your work. When you have two knobs with identical spacing from the center of the router you are constantly fighting to overcome this downward force on the dominate side which is the unsupported side that has greater leverage. This can easily lead to the router tipping into and spoiling the work.
But with the Control Grip installed your dominate side will be the side over the work. You will naturally without even thinking be applying more downward force on the supported side of the router making router operation safer and more stable.
More control equals less fatigue and better results.
