Just added this gem to the site and thought I'd share. I suspect some of you have been eyeballing that dust bag that comes with the Festool TSC 55 and thinking how it would be nice to have the option to use it on your TS 55/75, right? Well, here ya go!

You can order just the dust port, TSC dust bag or the TS 55/75 dust bag conversion kit which includes both from us. Note: you will need to remove the blade housing cover to swap the dust port. Just a few screws to pop it off. Be sure to remove power from the saw when doing the swap.

Works with the bag or with your Festool hose(s).

Is the new port required because the bag has a locking connector?  If so, it would be great if Festool introduced a locking sleeve for the vacuum hoses.

Yes, it has a locking connector.

Just ordered the set...but I'm hoping that the vac hoses work just as well with this port as they do with my TS55's existing port.  From your picture, it looks much shorter and may cause the hose to fall off more easily.

My main reason for buying was so I can use my TS55 outside without having to lug the CT36 and hoses up from the basement shop.

The port will come with an elbow that the hose attaches to. to attach the bag you will need to remove the elbow.

Ah, I see now...the hose connects to the left side of the port (as shown in Shane's first post).  For some reason I had it backwards.

Thanks!

Well, these things are certainly flying off the shelves. [eek]
I ordered the TSC bag kit (500393KIT) at 1:56 EDT and received a confirmation,  26 minutes later I received an Out of Stock Notification.
[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member], any idea as to when you'll have more in inventory?

[member=44099]Cheese[/member], we've got more inbound from Festool. The tracking number isn't showing the ETA yet, but it's generally 2-3 days to get from Festool  to our warehouse. We'll turn them around quickly once they arrive.

Thanks [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] for the update. I'm not in a hurry, just didn't know if it was shipping from Lebanon or from Wendlingen.

So does the connector just lock or does it lock in various rotated positions to eliminate unwanted swiveling?

Seth, the lock is in just one location. But the bag/hose can be swiveled as needed. It does a better job of staying in place too versus the stock dust port.

Do you have the Festool part number for the kit for us based in Europe to find locally?

[member=44099]Cheese[/member], just a quick update... Checked tracking from Festool and we should have these in stock on Friday. Sorry for the backorder.

Thanks for the update [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]  [thumbs up]

Have do you remove the elbow? I do not want to risk breaking something.

[member=4632]jimbo51[/member], it's pretty easy. You just remove the handful of screws that attach the blade cover to the saw. The elbow just sits in a recess. Nothing to break.

So the above statement by Bent is incorrect?  Thanks for the clarification.

I'd like to hear feedback from those who ordered the port to see if it is  better option than the stock TS55REQ port for connecting the Fstool hose. The stock port is kind of a pain since it seems to rotate where you don't want it.

These parts in Europe are 10015824 for the elbow and 500393 for the dust bag.
You can find it on EKAT for the TSC 55 or the HKC 55.
