It bothers me to read so many posts from fellow Canadians on how disappointed they are with the Canadian distribution system. I realize FestoolUSA is working on this issue and hope to have it resolved sometime down the road. In the meantime I have a simple solution.

I live just outside of Vancouver, BC Canada and am within 30 minutes of the border. I drive across quite often and am willing to pick items up for anybody in Canada who wants a tool or consumables. I will clear customs and ship the item to you or hold it for pickup at my home or work. No extra fees will be charged. I ask that you use your prefered dealer and simply add my name to the shipping box and invoice so I can easily cross the border without hassle. Please e-mail me at festool@telus.net or send me a PM via the forum before you order so I can forward you a US address I use on a regular basis!!!

Here are the rules:

-you need to contact me before ordering to confirm my availability to pickup the items (I take holidays sometimes)
- you can order from whomever you want but need to put my name on the box and ship it to my shipping depoti n Washington State
- you need to be comfortable with me opening the boxes before clearing customs to make sure everything is legit and there is nothing missing
- I need an invoice with all of the items in the boxes

Once I get the package into Canada I will ship it to you and require payment for the shipping fees and insurance in Canada along with the depot fee in Washington state and the taxes / duty if applicable.

To be honest, I can't run across the border everyday and will probably go once a week or every second week.

I've been on this forum since the beginning and  just want the best for my fellow Canadians.

If Mathew feels this post is out of line or belongs in the Dealer section I ask him to move it.

I am so happy with my Festool's and glad I own them. I don't like hearing about Canadian's having issues with our current distribution system and the thought this may prevent them from buying a Rotex or Domino or KAPEX.

Several of my friends won't buy from Hafele and can't be bothered with crossing the border to buy in the US.

Canadians deserve better!
