Hi guys!

I have been working for a long time now on a glue-less dowel for Festool.
With this dowel you are able to re-assemble or let client assembly the furniture/connection.

We hope to provide more information soon! In the meanwhile you can subscribe for the newsletter to receive updates!
Go to www.dominofix.com

I'm trying to work out how this can be done and can't get my head round it. Sure it's something simple, I hope it's good....

Subscribed! interested to see what you come up with..
I have a set of slightly sanded dominoes i use for a dry run (which i can never be bothered doing)  [big grin]

I can't remember who makes it, but I've seen a video of a RTA-type connector that's completely hidden. You use an attachment on a drill to make it "lock" with what appears to be magnets. I can't seem to find it again at the moment.

But, yes, interested to see what happens with this and to see the capabilities of the Domino expanded.

I once saw these Zuzzel Domino connectors and thought wow that's what I like and want.
Unfortunately the Zuzzel system never became a succes or is never produced and I think they stopped making them.
Hurray for a next attempt!

I can see why.

To many parts and to many processes

Cost and time would be to heigh.

They could easily design it in a 2 part system instead of three.

they should just copy lamello but in dominos.

Do two types of dominos

One which you simply tap and it clicks and holds

One which requires a small holes from above to allow allan key access to lock.

Basically like lamello.

However doing a domino hole with a cnc is easy and a small 4mm hole.

This hole also acts as a refrence point for the domino when having to manually domino the edge of the boards.  Which a cnc cant access.

The website doesn't inspire me enough to subscribe ...

Honestly, if I wanted to build knock down furniture I'd go with the proven Lamello system. Things like this need a lot of proven mileage before anyone is likely to rely on them.

[member=40772]Holmz[/member] I really like the Clamex ... So cool to me able to 90o mitre join like you can with them!

It's on the shopping list ... I'm just trying to be rational these days and only pulling the trigger when I have the application. Not being very successful with this strategy though [embarassed]

I subscribed but like others have said I'd expect that more info should have been available on the website or within the email response. It had a newsletter mentioned but no content.
I'll not get too excited just yet!!

Without wishing to appear to be to cynical but wearing a cyber security hat is this not a perfect way of obtaining contact details after all the website has no content

M8 - I'll let you know when I give it a whirl. It came in a day or three before the holidays. I have 2 projects, plus a possible bench, and maybe 3 sewing machine tables...

Being a first post stranger didn't help either did it? [sad]

Had this been from from a known FOGger I'd be paying it more merit.
