Anyone using GlueBot dispensers?

I am tired of crappy glue bottles and am buying glue by the gallon now so need to refill.

The gluebot looks nice.

I have the large and small sizes and love them both.  My only complaint is that if glue on the surface starts to harden up, you can get some difficult-to-reach glue stuck on the walls of the dispensing tube; a cracked (bendable) bamboo skewer used backwards can reach it, but a pain. It actually doesn't harm it at all, though.

I recently had some glue forgotten and dried at the bottom.  A quick squeeze of the bottom and it popped right off.  I like that the squeeze is from the bottom so even when it has minimal glue in it, you still can dispense.

Well worth it.

Great idea - very similar to the metering dispensers for 2 stroke oil, etc.

I don't see much of the Fastcap stuff locally (in Oz).

I just really started using mine today for the first time, sooo much nicer to use than regular 16oz titebond bottle.  cant beat it if you are gluing vertical surfaces

there is always going to be a bit of glue that will stay at the bottom when it gets low but you could either tip it and let it run down the spout or just refill it at that point

i know a guy who keeps a few small bottles on his tool cart (mostly commercial installs) filled with different solvents and cleaners so he always has stuff handy, so you really dont have to limit them to glue

I have the large and small ones and find them annoying, Glue comes out waaayyy too slow. I prefer a simple squeeze bottle, or the regular bottle.

Thanks guys. I am on it. I think I will order both sizes.

And Paul, I have been told you know what 73 means !

I had a large one that cracked right down the side when I squeezed it, but it seemed to be made of an older (more brittle) plastic.  I have a newer small one that is made from a softer-feeling plastic and works well.

I bought one several years ago.  Thought it was terrible.  Cap didn't fit right, didn't dispense particularly well.  Put the glue right back into the mfr bottle.

I have several Glue-Bots both sizes. I really like them. The replaceable tips are nice. Use it at any angle.  [thumbs up]

A dental pick is great for pulling dried glue out of the tip.

I use both sizes for glue and also both sizes for oilers (WD40, precision oil, etc.).

HAM radio operators that use Morse code know what 73 (or incorrectly 73's) means -- Best Regards.

I have used the big one for several years and really like it. Bought the little one but haven't used it yet. Extra tips are great when one starts to get bad throw it away and put on a new one. Like buying glue in gallon jugs much cheaper.

You hear 73's a lot and a silent key friend of mine used to bring that up often as it drove him crazy. Best Regards's ??

Paul Was talking to Steve Adams and some of our history was similar and he mentioned you as well.

I might run out to the WoodSmith Store and see if they have them. If not will order for Rockler.

WoodSmith had them in stock today. So grabbed a GlueBot and Babybot.

Has to be better than the squeeze bottles I have been fighting.
