Well I'm a magnet for mistakes. I started my 2nd shop cabinet and was excited that in two days I had all the edge edge banding glued and flush trimmed. I was really looking forward to using the DF 500 and assembling the carcass much quicker than it took me on the 1st cabinet when I realized my side panels and middle partition had the edge banding glued to the top/bottom rather than front/rear!! SMH
Since they're shop cabinets I can salvage the exterior panels by not gluing edge banding to the sides of the top/bottom panels and adding edge banding to the front/rear of the side panels but unfortunately I'm going to have to cut the edge banding off the partition and ruin a nice piece of 3/4" Walnut.
On the bright side, I'm glad I'm making these mistakes now on shop cabinets rather than some important project. Lesson learned, label the panels with their names AND which side is up! ;D
