Hi, Just thought I would share this web site link (If I am allowed).

http://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/brand/Festool/2/2

I get stuff from them all the time because their prices are incredible!

Example: saw a stanley fatmax 1.8m box level in the local hardware for £67 and these guys had them for £41... [smile]

Their Festool prices seem good? or is there another site/shop I have missed?

DM tools and Screwfix etc all seem to be overpriced nowadays.

I use them alot too . Excellent service .Their prices on festool are unbeatable  £295  for ts55r    [eek]

I have bought off them in the past their customer service was very good, but I find slingers 1858 hard to beat

yeh i came across these guys, awesome prices bought some hardware and milwaukee radio from them crazy cheap and good service, im after a ct26, of2200 and replacing my ts55 with new model, will be looking at them if my other guy cant beat them.

They're putting on a show this weekend at Bluewater this weekend, got an email offering me tickets but don't think I will go. About an hour from me

Just noticed they have put the price back up on ts55r, gutted would have bought one immediately

perhaps the experience of powertool world influenced them to put the prices up!

FFX are dignificantly cheaper on their own website, they charge more on Ebay to cover the additional costs...

Do they not have fixed pricing on Festool stuff in the UK no matter which retailer one goes to?

Just curious, as that's the way it is is NA although we pay more in Canada all around than my neighbours to the south of us.

Not anymore kev, they got fined for it in Europe so there's big discounts here in the UK now.

Some kind of perpetrated "Price Fixing" or, for lack of better knowledge and what was in fact the case/issue, "collusion" of sorts?  Interesting!  What's the history on that, although I have to imagine the laws offering such in the UK are a leap to see such here in Canada or the US.  ESPECIALLY the US!  Land of litigation but primarily the land of free enterprise!

Well at least in Europe its illegal to force your resellers to sell only at 'suggested retail price' that is what Festool was doing to its resellers worldwide i.e. you advertise Festools for less and you loose your dealership and/or don't get deliveries on time, etc.

Usually suggested retail price is seen by the consumers as the maximum price for an item suggested by the manufacturer, not the minimum price that was driven by Festool in this instance.

This kind of manufacturer price fixing is seen as a violation against a free market and market defined prices. Just one step short of cartels that fix prices across a while product/service segment between multiple companies. (We have seen this happening too for example with asphalt companies.

I'm wondering when the likes of Apple get hauled to court for exactly the same reasons with internationally fixed iPhone and Mac prices.

I've bought from ffx a couple of times, entirely due to the low prices, however I've just ordered some accessories from Nuts & Bolts in Weston-super-Mare (powertool-supplies.co.uk, a member on here) as they were even cheaper.

As steve248 pointed out, ffx have cheaper prices on their website than on ebay. Also, on their website you get additional discounts as you add stuff into the cart. But even with that N&B were still a few pounds cheaper.

If you're looking for the cheapest price it still pays to shop around - I don't think any one dealer will always be the cheapest, it depends on what you're buying.

I could recommend tool stop.co.uk too they don't sell festool but I ordered a fein multimaster on Wednesday at 1pm and they had it at my door in dublin on Friday just after lunch with a price that I could not fin anywhere
