Google, Android and patents

Well, I like Apple and its products, but will certainly not fight about it.  I just like it better... And yes, I agree, some Apple users can be pompous.  Just the same way as some PC users can be pompous.  What can I say?

Funny that, I remember back in the 80's, that the only place where you could actually use MS Word or Excel was in the Mac.  PCs had Lotus and WordPerfect, and there was no Office until the early 90s.

I like some Apple product and own an iPod touch,iMac and was an early adopter of the first iPhone. Apple woke up all the sleeping companies by not just wanting a piece of the market but all of it. This is where Google has become a thorn in their side and it's showing because they are forcing Apple to keep innovating and not be able to soak in it's self glory . This whole thing is personal don't be fooled.

Wow, all this talk about Apple trying to take over the world.  The programming and paranoia is full blown.

Its not personal for me... as long as the iPhone and the iMac and the AppleTV and whatever else I have work.  When they stop meeting my expectations, I'll think about using something else.

Upscale,

There were 5 in the consortium. Winning bid $4.5 billion. Apple contribution $2 billion, $2.5 billion split among the 4 if divided evenly just over $500 million apiece. Obviously way less than Apple's contribution.

I used the numbers from the above linked article, I have read Apples contribution was $2.6 billion.

Pathetic.

With Nintendo hitting hard times, maybe they will start suing all the kart and golf clones of the Mario Kart and Gold series.
Oh wait, that's software... For some reason that's viewed differently...  Apple is making me feel dirty for owning an Ipad.
