He said Obama had the opportunity to stop and shake hands with soldiers and thank them for their services. He said Obama just walked right on by to go to his photo op. IMHO that's just wrong.

Bill,

With all due respect, I could see how this post could become something

we would all regret.

Just sayin.

mr obamaha arrived in germany and quoted kennedy

"im a hamburger"

trying to mean im from hamburg

the problem is that in german the meaning is VERY SUBLTLY different

it means " i AM a hamburger"

ie

"im a mcdonald's pattie"

it just doesnt quite have the gravitas a potential american president needs

I would be more interested in meeting people at a FestoolFest than either McSame or O-blah-blah.

We need to revive Per's campaign!  At least the White House could be remodeled.

Holy Moly,

Howd ja like to have that on your resume?

I am pretty sure there is somebody either on SMC or maybe

even here that has a piece in the white house.

But dudes, the contract for the oval office?

They wouldn't even have to take my name off the no fly list. ;D

Per

Those contractors don't talk or there's a new contract drawn up...... 8)

OK,Ok,

I will settle for the chambers of any Supreme court justice.

Trust me, I have experience in a court room.

Yeah, but you have to know how to build where the plaintiff stands too!!  :D ;D :D ;D

it depends on the jurisdiction  ::)

in america (as the films would have it) you just need two tables and four chairs for prosection and defence, set at the same level to each other (but below and equally in front of the judge)

in england the accused is put "in the dock"

he is below and either to the side of the judge, or behind the prosecution and defence lawyers

but he is above the prosecution and defence (both whom are on the same level) and both equally in front of the judge

one thing that is similar (at present) is that there is a jury

i love it when politicans take off the suits and ties

if front for thier respective national soldiers

no doubt the 'merrican soldiers are as inspired by the president as or crew are inspired by the prime minister

no shit sherlock  ;D

Yeah, and the gas prices and taxes all his fault, same shot different election.

Well that depends too. If you're suing a multinational company, the defence side needs only one table, but fifteen chairs for all the lawyers (barristers)!

Fellas, Fellas, Fellas,

I am talkin about the frame and panel construction on the walls of 100 center street seen in

every Law and Order episode since day one.

Now I can do that. And I can build a dang fine bench, along with a very pretty pew.

Might as well add in a confessional box too.

But I draw the line at chairs!

would do the same.

I have no intentions of offending anyone. Every time a person in the military comes in my business, I thank them for their service. I would hope that a person running for president would at least do the same. IMHO. :) I was just disappointed to hear this.

I know Bill,

But even before I wrote that statement, I read this from snopes

I then thought it was more appropriate to take this thread in a different direction,

so no one would look silly or political.

But hey, I can only do so much.

Actually I do have a confession and a hobby.

I am a amateur political scientist who is fascinated by the use of political operatives in the dissemination

of propaganda on the internet. From here in the US to the ability off a bunch of freaks in caves to use the new media.

There was a time when only Government had this power.

That is no longer the case.

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." Joseph Goebbels.

"A lie told often enough becomes truth" Vladimir Lenin.

Everyone,
All right, I've never revealed my political leanings in this forum.  Neither have I revealed my leanings when I have met forum members in private.

This thread has inspired me to reveal all and tell everyone where I stand both in the current election and politics in general.

Just kidding.

It's something I would love to do, as it would feel great for the moment as I'm typing it out.  But in the end, it would be like a bad chlli dog at a carnival.

Nothing against chili, or dogs.

My name is Matthew, and I approve this message.
