Thanks again everyone. It'll get plenty of use I promise. I'd also like to say thanks for your generosity in these contests too.

UPS didn't loose my sander ;D but Fed Ex lost a turbo charger for us this week. >:(

stop showing off  ;D

show us it in use

as you can see, im not jealous..................... at all  ::)

I'm not feeling quite as lucky this month ;) The competition keeps getting tougher. I'm just happy to have won. That doesn't happen often. It's like the reason they call gambling, gambling.......is because they don't call it winning. ;D

right

being clever has cost you...................................

youve lost this month  ;D

It'll be in use Monday. It would have been sooner but UPS lost my veneer for a day, not to mention Fed Ex lost a turbo charger for 10 days too.  The two should combine and call it Fed-UP. ;D  I even had UPS loose a 140lb amplifier about a year ago, so I worry when it comes to these shippers.
BTW do you think I wouldn't be excited when the sander showed up? ;) I'm not known for being lucky. :) I guess I better start building something else for future contests. ;)

I just took the sander for a test drive on 2 aluminum plates that I use in my vac press. They had some very old glue on them that I've tried to get off with other sanders. The ETS150 did great. It removed the glue, stains and other misc stuff like epoxys and fillers. The sander has very little vibration in my hands and doesn't cause any fatigue what so ever. Also, when I was done sanding I put the ct-33 to the test as well. Aluminum will make a very fine dust. In this case there was no dust on the surounding bench what so ever. When I whiped the aluminum with a rag there was almost no residue on the rag. This is only the initial test. I'll report back when I use it on wood tomorrow.

im glad its getting use

that is what tools are for and you earned it

but im still not jealous  ::)

at all  ;)

not even a bit................

Your photo reminds me of how beautiful Festool sanders look when brand new--- I hated to even use mine at first.

Congrats by the way,

Justin

Thanks. It doesn't look like that any more. DD motivated me to build another project. S0 I put it to use today. The competition got stiff so I had to step it up a notch ;) I might have a suprize at the last minute.  ;D Here's a little pic of one of the materials I'm workin with. ;) It sure is nice to get back in my shop for a whole day. It's been over 3 months I think since I've been able to get some real time in.

Don't count me out just yet. ;D You made me do it. ;)

I got some more time with the sander yesterday. What I discovered is that it falls nicely in line with my ROS150. The ROS150 gets the rough sanding out of the way in minutes and the ets made finish sanding a breeze. I use to hate sanding because it took so long, but with these 2 sanders you shave about 80% off of the time it took when I used to use my PC300 sander. The fatigue factor is all but gone now too. That old PC use to make my hands numb after 5 minutes or so. I never though it would be possible, but I now enjoy sanding. :D

mericans are strange.  why would anybody want to use a PC as a sander  ::)

it defeats me..................................  :P

but im just a limey, what should i know?  ;D

Porter Cable ;D Or it could stand for Piece-a crap. I hate that thing. It makes my hands feel like they're made of silicone gell. :-\

bill, and all mericans, i (yet again) have to apologise

ive been told before that pc is synominous with porter-cable

BUT pc do not have a high profile here

the porter cable importers "think" that their tools are worth far more than festool...................................

and as you know from me and others festool tools cost far more here than in north america

PC makes some decent routers but no where close to Festool routers. They just make more.
