There are people elsewhere on the planet that have access to the internet !!!
Anyway, a more apt analogy would be a Mercedes 600 Pullman ... I can relate German refinement to Festool, but not big American metal of the 70's ... gas guzzlers!
I think a sander that behaved like a '76 Eldorado would run on three phase power, consume 200 sheets of sandpaper an hour and require a work bench with a 3 tonne capacity rating - that's just for the sander [smile]
Kev,
I certainly meant no offense by not including your geographic region, much less the great nation of Australia. And your suggestion that the benchmark of precision luxury automobiles for many years, the Mercedes 600 Pullman, was more analogous to the RS2 than the great American land yacht, Eldorado, will find no argument from me.
But you may find the weight of some 600 Pullman models to be greater than the Cadillac, with fuel consumption quite the same as well. The Mercedes did offer much better utility and function, was decades ahead of the Cadillac in its mechanicals, and was in another league when it came to style and class.

You'd be amazed at the people I've met over the years. One fella I was talking to once in Atlanta, well he though Australia was "little country" in Europe and was amazed at how well I spoke "American".
