Grex pin nailer

I have the senco finish pro LXP23.  It will shoot 1/2 - 2 pins in hard wood.  I mostly use 5/8 pins when assembling with dominos.  I have not had any issues with this gun.

Too late, but I have a 650L.  It's great, but I should have listened to feedback suggesting the 635 instead.  Don't need the long 23 ga pins and they make too many turns.  Another option that I've started using more is senco's 21 ga nailer.  Only issue is you're not going to find nails at the local big box store.  But it's nice when you want something a little meatier than a 23.

Peter, I worked with a "good old  boy" that, while drilling an 1/8" hole through an aluminum storefront extrusion made that same mistake.  The drill bit stuck out 1/2", he calmly put the drill in reverse, poured denatured alcohol over it, taped it with duct tape and carried on.  [blink]

Go Grex.  A word of caution for any pin nailer.  Keep your fingers out of the pin placement area especially if you are using longer pins.  The pins can easily be sent thru the work by the grain orientation and into a nearby finger.  It hurts.  Easier to get out of a finger or thumb than a an 18 or 16 gauge finish nail (yes I know from experience) but still.

Amen!!!

I  have had a grex for two years plus. After 2 Porter Cable guns I needed a serious upgrade. I bought a replacement driver at the time I purchased the Grex and STILL haven't used it. Absolutely worth every penny.

I said what the heck, and ordered the Grex on Amazon.  Here we go :)

You'll like the Grex. I have been using that model for several years. That price seems like it has come down a bit too!

I started with bostich, and porter cable and ridgid.  After they all let me down in one way or another I decided to upgrade to the grex 18 G 1825 green buddy, and the P650L  23 G pinned.  After I had a small problem with a firing pin breaking which was so very simple to fix my grexs have been amazing.  if I can help it I will always be a grex guy. I think they are the best pincers out there.

I picked up a 16 gauge grex at the NJ wood working show this year It is awesome a little heavier than im used to because all internals are aluminum instead of plastic. While I was there I also ordered the 650lx which I am patiently waiting for. They claimed a March release date.
