Grizzly Closeout on Festool Products

I think this was my first time ordering anything from Grizzly and I noticed the cart weirdness. Specifically, there's no visual indicator to show you've added anything to the card. No biggie for me since I figured it out pretty quick, but it is strange.

They're offering free shipping on orders over $75 for 3 days. Just got an e-mail. Might push some of those 'okay' deals into 'great' deals for anyone on the fence.

They have also increased the percentage off.  Now most things are 25-30% off.  This is a good deal that I just grabbed:

I live in town with one Grizzly location so I grabbed what I could locally but previously didn't want to pay shipping to get stuff from the other location.  Now with free shipping that isn't an issue but most of what I still wanted is already gone haha.

I got that e-mail today as well.

I'd feel better ordering some more items if my order from last week Monday would finally get processed as they have promised me twice over the phone.  My order from last week Tuesday is completely delivered and in my garage already.

I received my final shipment from Grizzly today.

I thought I had ordered a 27mm and a 36mm hose, but what I received appears to be identical 36mm hoses.  Can anyone tell me what the difference between the 2 hoses that I received?

This is my order confirmation from Grizzly for reference:

Did I order the same hoses or are they supposed to be different?

That 36/32 is tapered and is supposedly good for auto clean vacs.

I’m not sure if this is what happened to you, but I found it frustrating that grizzly didn’t list the Festool product number. Combine that with the fact that their descriptions and pictures were sometimes a little sloppy or mismatched, and there were a few products that I couldn’t tell for sure what exactly they were.

Thanks for the reply!  That is a very subtle difference that I had not noticed so I guess there is something different between the 2 hoses, but I'm not sure that is actually what I ordered.

Their website description does not seem very accurate.  I have no need for 2, 36mm hoses - hence I'm wondering why I now have 2 36mm hoses when what I really wanted was a 27mm hose to connect to my TS55 and a larger 36mm hose for general cleanup.

Even though it’s not up on the site anymore, you might still be able to click on the product from your order history and revisit the description. I noticed several products with mediocre descriptions, and maybe you can return it if the description is poor enough to be misleading (maybe even if it’s not).

You should have a 3.5m hose that is 36mm throughout its entire length (the bottom hose, labeled as 36 x 3,5) and a 3.5m hose that is 36mm at the extractor end tapered to 32mm at the tool end (the top hose, labeled as 36/32 x 3,5).  (assuming they were never returned or repacked)

If you want a 27mm hose, there are at least 4 different options on Festool's website if you include anti-static and non-anti static, tapered and non-tapered, nevermind the different lengths.

I also found the Grizzly "internal part numbers" quite frustrating, especially when they also refer to other internal part numbers in the description.

Grizzly does list the Festool part number, just in super small type.

That 36/32 hose is what came with my 48 AC and it will fit over the TS 55 dust port. Well, it fits over the TSC 55 dust port. Works very well. Other than the hose being kinda fat, I'm not finding I even want a 27mm hose.

Grizzly is down to one page now, and about half of those items are "discontinued" if you click on the individual item.  I ordered some misc. items yesterday afternoon, now I am just waiting to see what they are short.

Yeah, I noticed this morning they were down to about 33 items, then this evening down to 23.  It whittled down in a hurry!  The free shipping on orders over $75 should help clean out the rest of the consumables, since that ate into the discount on anything under $100.

I placed an order yesterday and half of it was fulfilled last night; I just got a notice that they processed another charge today which totals up to the remaining items.  My order from last week Monday that I called about three times also shipped yesterday, so Lord willing I'll have my Kapex UG stand by this time tomorrow, most of the rest of the order is coming from Warshington and should arrive on Friday in time for a long weekend of rearranging the garage.

Shout out to Grizzly:

Once the free shipping promotion came out, I ordered two items, for a total of about $100. They emailed to let me know one was unavailable. The available item was only $30, and I asked about the shipping cost - they said they would be happy to honor the free shipping promotion on the $30 item. It shipped today.

I just lost about 70% of my last order-a couple of big items I would like to have are not available.  But my view is whatever I receive from them is fine, since it was free shipping.  But my 75" guide and 240 guide came today, so that is about as good as I can hope for. The rest waiting to ship looks like it is just sand paper.

Ya the free shipping served as a motivator...once I got the email I ordered an additional 6 items.  [cool]

I ordered some this morning, all has already been canceled.  So take a shot at it, and if you get anything, consider it a plus, just don't get your hopes up.
