Anyone here have or have experience with the Grizzly G1030Z2P 3hp dust collector? I'm looking to upgrade my current unit and this one is popping out to me but can't really find any other info on it besides what's on Grizzly's site.

I have the G0562ZP with the canister filters vs the bags on the less expensive 1030Z2P

I have not used  it a lot, but when I have it works great. I used HVAC 6" metal pipes from Home Depot and their fittings, taped all the joints, so far so good---. Here is a pic when it was just installed

How is the HVAC ducting working? I know it's like 30ga material and didn't know if it would collapse from the suction.

Yes it is thinner material than some people might recommend. I have 6" ducts dropping to 4" with plastic blast gates and then flex tube to the machines, I have six or seven drops. I have accidentally run the DC with all the blast gates closed and have not had any issues. It did not run for hours this way of course, but the system did not implode all of a sudden with all of the gates closed... All of my joints are taped. I bought a bucket of the sealant goop too, but have not put it on any of the joints. So I may have some small leaks, but again so far, so good!

Good luck with your purchase and system!

(Outdated pics but you get the idea---)

Sweet. Good to hear. I'd prefer Norfab but definitely don't have that kinda cash. PVC was my next choice but they don't make a 7" PVC. They do make a 7" HVAC ducting though but was just concerned with collapsing.
