I love my OF2200 router.  I am making a desk that requires several dadoes along the outside edges of 8 legs (4 per pedestal).  I used two edge guides and the center-line marker on the router's base to dial in the exact location of each groove.  Here is a short video of me routing 4 of the leg pieces -- it was very quick, accurate and repeatable.  Granted this same technique could be used with different routers, but I really enjoy using the OF2200.  It is so smooth and powerful and there is zero chatter of the bit pushing through the material pretty quickly at times.  I did not have the camera in the best position and sometimes my body blocks the shot, but you get the idea.  The dust collection is amazing too and you can see the chips getting extracted -- the dust shroud is amazing!

Like the bench dogs and clamps that accompany them. Can I get a make for these please?

I got to use one at router class last year in Lebanon; that is an amazing machine!  You can almost throw away the bench duster because it gets all the chips.

Thanks, Wonderwino...Yeah, the dust collection is amazing.  Plus, I just set the machine down between cuts and leave it running.  Since it is so smooth and balanced, it does not go anywhere and this speeds up repetitive tasks and wear on the on/off switch.  I am sure that this would not fly with the safety police, but it works for me.  Even at over 17 pounds I do not feel like this router is cumbersome at all and it really is not a big deal to pick it up and maneuver it around the work.  The extra weight adds heft that I think translates into ultra-smooth cuts.

Those are the Festool Clamping Elements.

Thanks. It wasn't a trick question because I've never considered purchasing an MFT so I haven't look at the accessories for one.

The link you provided said the camps fit the 20mm holes on the MFT. Would you know if they will fit a standard dog hole of 3/4" or are they too tight?

Hi Upscale,

They will not fit 3/4 inch dog holes...way too tight -- I tried on my traditional bench and it woudl not work.
