I have debated getting the 118" rail, but in my small garage shop I have had no place to put one. I have 5 tracks not including the one for my MFT. I currently use the betterly connector to make a long track for sheet goods, when I cut the long length, and I am happy with the accuracy. But to connect it everytime when sheet goods come in gets old. Having seen Paul Marcel's use of his garage door mount, I decide to mount my most used tracks to the door and Connect my 75 and 42 to have a semi-permanent 117" track. I think this will work well until I decide to bite the bullet for a 118" track, but there are a couple of other tools like an MFK700, I need first.

I first had to make wood surface mounts to connect to the garage door, which has foam insulation. Not strong enough to just screw into unless I go through the front of the garage door. I used contact cement to adhere the wood strips to the foam insulation, then used pocket screws to drill into the structure of the door for added strength. It is good and secure. I made hold blocks with a slight angle, to make it easy to slide in the guild rails. I used some veneered MFD I had, which was just about perfect for spacing for where the guild drops in at 5.2mm thick. I just touch sanded the back to shave off enough to give a snug fit when the track drops in.  In a garage shop which is filled to the max with tools, that garage door is space is something I am glad I can somewhat take advantage of. As you can see in the door image, I even store my levels in the space above the garage door.

That is definitely a great idea!  I'm going to copy that if I can get the wife to buy in
