Guide rail lengths

I am curious about the Festool guide rail lengths and how others are using them.

I have the TS 55 REQ with two 55" rails. I have the two connector rails also and use them connected together when the cuts are beyond 8'. I have modified a mobile shop cart using an MFT replacement top. See pictures I have attached.  I DONT HAVE AN OFFICIAL MFT/3 TABLE.

So, I have been contemplating buying a 3rd guide rail. It seems like that choice should be the 32" long rail.  But I am having a difficult time making a final decision.  More than likely I would use it for cutting shorter pieces of plywood. Buying both the 32" and 42" seems a little ridiculous and redundant.

Does anyone have some experiences or opinions they can share?

I know it seems redundant to have every length rail, but I do own every rail, and two of the 55,and two of the 42. Having all of them allows me to have a diffrent one set up for making kitchen cabinet boxes. But that is my way of working and yours might be diffrent, but i would think that you would use both the 32,and 42 if you had them.

Sorry to be critical - but that trolley looks a little unsafe to me ... it looks prone to tipping sideways if you put a load on with end.

Please be careful and consider changing it - if you were running a tracksaw on the edge and pushing down I'd hate it to tip.

If you are happy joining rails together and it works fine for you then I would suggest the 75" rail.  If you want to go long, then the 3000.

Normally I would go for the 42 over the 32, but since you have the 55, you're pretty much covered for anything over 26".  So the 32" would be there for anytime you had a small enough cut such that a 55" would be unwieldy/overkill.  I can't otherwise think of an application (though I'm sure one exists) where you would have something between the 26"-36" range for which the 55" would be an inappropriate choice.
