Guide rail question

Festools rails are extruded anodized aluminum.  Aluminum will expand and contract with heat and cold.  If the warp is up and down and not along the length, it should not be a problem as when you cut you will be pressing down and the rail should still cut straight.  A rail can be bent up by not supporting the fore and aft of the cut and clamping down the ends.  Done repeatedly, this will bent your rail, but again the amount of rise in your pictures will not affect your cutting.  **just as a note I work with architectural aluminum and acrylics as a profession

Thanks for your comments. I have done a little reverse bending of the rail and it is now pretty straight and works great. I also have moved my storage location for the rails to where there is absolutely no chance anything can come in contact with them. My next rail will be the FS2700, that way no more having to use joined guide rails to break down sheet stock.
Thanks again for your comments.
