Interested in purchasing corded TS55 . I sold the old model of this saw with a rail. The quetions I have are: 55inch guide rail is about 15 years old. The new connector to combine two 55 inch rails is different. Would the old rail work Plan on purchasing newer version of the corded plunge saw. Also, would two 55 inch rails connected together be enough to cut 8' piece of plywood. It has been suggested to buy a 75 inch rail. I have a Makita 10 foot rail because of the cost Festool rail. If I had to buy another rail would a Makita rail work with the newer connector. I realize I have a 10 foot rail but it is hard to store. The newest version of the ts55 is supposed to cut much quicker than the old because of the blade size. True. Thank you for any advice or answers you could give.
