Guide Rods for OF1400 - are they the same as the Guide Rods for the OF 2200?

Hello,

My OF 1400 fell of the bench today and the rods bend.  I see on Amazon that there are Guide Rods but they specifically reference the OF 2200.  Does anyone know if they are the same?  They are available via Amazon Prime which would be my fasters means of securing.  Thanks.

They are not the same.

You will need to call our service department (number below) to order them separately. They are normally sold with the edge guide.

if you are in a bind and need the rods to complete a project, they are 8mm X 400mm rods. If you have access to an industrial supply place, you should be able to walk in and get them. Fastenal, Grainger etc will have them. Ask for 8mm drill rod. You may have to cut them.

Thanks for the replies.  I moved to the table saw/dado blade to finish the project.  I will call festool and order them.

If you need them right away, until you can get the right ones from Festool, you might try some inexpensive 5/16" rod from the big box or hardware stores.  It works out to be about 7.94mm.
